No future development is possible without respecting the natural balance of the boundary that divides our Earth into green and blue. The image is intended as an inspiration, a reminder, a warning. In its simplicity lies a call to imagine equally simple solutions capable of ensuring sustainability.

By adding air to the equation, the concept of a complete environment is further reinforced — one that cannot exist without any of its essential components. The geometric and stylized lines of this iconographic representation thus become a message of the circularity so often overlooked by human intervention.

This image was selected and exhibited as part of the collective intelligence invited by curator Guendalina Salimei to imagine the shape of the sea for the Italy’s Pavilion at the 19th International Architecture Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia (2025)
